MEASURE FOR FIT

Measuring for instruments is not an exact science, but we have found a method that seems to work well. If you do find that the size you measure to is not quite right for your student, our rental program offers free exchanges to different sizes.

TO MEASURE FOR CELLO: Have your student stand as tall as possible, as if they were standing at attention. Using a tape measure, measure from the floor to their sternal notch, where the ribs come together at the chest. The chart below will tell you the correct size cello based on this measurement. If you find that your student is between sizes it’s preferred to select the smaller size, it’s easier to play an instrument that is just a bit smaller rather than one that is too big.

Jot down or tuck away in your memory the size you have measured for. You will enter the instrument size into your online rental agreement after selecting your preferred payment plan.

Our rental programs offer a lot of flexibility in how you can choose to pay. You can pay month to month or for the full year using either your credit/debit card or bank account.

If you are local to our shop in Cincinnati, or to one of our reps, you can choose to pick-up the instrument yourself or we have limited delivery options available depending on your location. If you are not located near our shop or a rep we will ship the cello to you.

^Month to month rentals require a 2 month non-refundable payment at checkout. Monthly recurring payments will begin after the 2 months have passed and are automatically billed to your credit card/bank account.
